Gay Power Ranger Shocks All of South America

Big news in the world of people we don’t really care about today: David Yost, the original Blue Power Ranger, has come out of the closet as a gay man. p.s. Obvs. We are happy for David, even though we certainly have never watched the Power Rangers or heard of his name. But it was when we logged into Twitter (What’s that? You want to follow me? Fine.) that I noticed a strange phenomenon… The #2 trending topic on ALL of Twitter is “Power Ranger Azul.” Right there after “Macauley Culkin” (Is he dead? Probs.) Look: Which is how we discovered that Spanish speakers really, really care that the “Power Ranger Azul” is gay. (Dear Portuguese people: See below update!) Even with our broken Spanish, we can understand this: “Quee!? Power Ranger Azul es gay!?” If someone would like to offer an explanation as to why Spanish people care so much about this, soy todo o�dos.
